Throughout the evening, students will share highlights from various activities done over this past year through presentations and interactive sessions. So come watch a live debate, view
original student films, and learn how to program a robot. These are only a few wonderful sessions happening at our “Evening of Excellence.” The evening should conclude at 8:00p. Marker Published in Ohio Journal of Mathematics Mon 11/5/12 – Congratulations to 8th grade math teacher Jennifer Marker for being published in the Fall 2012 edition of Ohio Journal of Mathematics. Her article "Taxicab Travel: Mathematically Touring Baltimore" explores how to engage students in critical thinking through a
virtual field trip. From the mathematics classroom, students problem solve using the surface area of three-dimensional shapes, non-Euclidean geometry, probability, and Euclidean constructions. By the end of these activities, students have applied their mathematics understanding to mummies, travel, code breaking, and treasure hunting.
