Dear OMMS Families,
We are excited to welcome our newest Falcons to Oakland Mills Middle School for New Student Orientation this Thursday! Our rising 6th graders and 7th and 8th grade students who are NEW to OMMS will have an opportunity to get to know their teachers, meet the administrative team, become familiar with the building, and begin feeling at hOMe at Oakland Mills.
New Student Orientation
Thursday, August 20
1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Doors will open at 1:25 p.m.
For our Spanish speaking families, we will also offer a 30-minute session conducted in Spanish from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Please be aware that construction continues in and around our school. We encourage families to take the construction into consideration when planning your departure time, as traffic and access to the school may cause some delays. Giving yourself a little extra travel time will help ensure that you arrive in time to enjoy the full orientation experience.
Starting at a new school is a big milestone, and we want every student to walk through our doors knowing that they are already part of our Falcon family. We cannot wait to meet you, introduce you to the people who will support you this year, and help you get comfortable in your new school.
