Regina McLendon

Welcome to Oakland Mills Middle School! My name is Regina McLendon, and I am thrilled to serve as your Principal. I have proudly been an educator in the Howard County Public School System since 1992 and have been a part of the Oakland Mills Middle School family since 2005. I truly enjoy being an instructional leader at Oakland Mills Middle School, where I spend valuable time in classrooms with our students and teachers. With experience as a reading teacher at both the middle school and elementary school levels, I am passionate about fostering a love for learning at all stages. As a proud graduate of Oakland Mills High School and Morgan State University, and a long-time resident of the Oakland Mills community, I have deep roots here. Both of my sons are also graduates of Oakland Mills High School, underscoring my personal and professional commitment to this community. My primary goals as an administrator are to provide a safe and supportive environment for our students and community and to ensure that rigorous and engaging learning experiences are at the heart of our educational mission. Building strong relationships with staff, students, and families is the most rewarding part of my role, and I am dedicated to positively impacting the community we serve.
