My name is Eugene Rose. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, my wife and I are the proud parents of two amazing daughters. I have been in education for over 25 years. I received my Undergraduate Degree from Temple University in Secondary Education and Mathematics and my Masters in Education from the College of Notre Dame in the area of Administration. This is my 18th year in the Howard County Public School System. I began my HCPSS career as a High School mathematics teacher at Wilde Lake High School in 2004. I have taught all levels of mathematics from Math 6 to Calculus, including Pre-Calculus, and Calculus at Howard Community College. In addition to teaching, I have been the lead Administrator for the Black Student Achievement Program for the last 16 years. Most recently, I was the Leadership Intern working with 7th grade and the Administrator staff at Lake Elkhorn Middle School. I love working with students to overcome barriers to meet with personal success. I am excited to begin my Assistant Principal experience and becoming part of the OMMS community.
