Middle School Course Registration 2022-2023

Middle school course selection for the 2022-2023 academic year will open for current 5-7 grade students Tuesday, Feb. 8 and run through Tuesday, Feb. 22.

Beginning Feb. 8, students/families may view teachers’ course recommendations, and submit course requests and alternate requests by logging into Synergy, selecting Course Request from the left panel, and following the directions available online.

OMHS Scheduling Information Night

On Thursday, January 6, Oakland Mills High School is holding the virtual "Scheduling Extravaganza".  All future OMHS 9th grade families should plan to attend.  The new family information meeting will be part of the Scheduling Extravaganza and start at 7pm.  Families will be able to attend breakout rooms to visit with elective programs and meet OMHS counselors after the information meeting.

It's time for High School Registration!  All 8th grade students must have 7 Credit Requests and 3 Alternates entered in Synergy by January 18th.
 
For information and the opportunity to meet with High School Staff, families should plan to attend the Virtual Information Night at their student's high school.  Meeting dates are below.
*1/5 – HOHS Virtual Parent Information Night – 6 – 8pm – Links will be on the HOHS website
*1/6 – OMHS Scheduling Extravaganza – evening - More information coming soon

HIGH SCHOOL ARTICULATION IMPORTANT DATES 

12/20 or 12/21 - OMMS Counselors present “HS Course Registration” lesson 

12/20 – Families receive email with information and instructions for making course requests for HS 

*12/20 – 1/18 – Students enter course requests and alternates

Your School Counselors are back! We are here to support you with academic growth, social and emotional growth, and career and college exploration! OMMS School Counselors' office hours are 7:35am - 3:10pm when school is in session. Students can request an appointment with their School Counselor by sending a Canvas Inbox message or by completing the Appointment Request form.

HCPSS STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT

The HCPSS Student Code of Conduct provides a framework to support behavioral goals and disciplinary policies. All students are expected to be aware of and abide by this Student Code of Conduct. Parents/guardians are encouraged to read the Student Code of Conduct carefully and to discuss the information with their children. 2022-2023 Applications and Research Laboratory (ARL) Career Academy Info Sessions

Attention 8th grade students and parents! Learn how Career and Technical Education (CTE) Career Academies provide high school students with opportunities to earn college credit, scholarships, and industry certifications, participate in worksite and mentorship experiences, and become creative problem solvers by participating in hands-on project-based learning.

There will be three Information sessions. Each academy will present twice each evening, so that students and parents can visit with two different academies.
